Really quite odd seeing him in casual attire and relaxing as opposed to seeing him as the suited, inspirational political power house he really was. Especially since very little is documented about him post war. The images themselves seem colourised to me, giving them a very surreal, dreamy, almost painting like quality. Nat Winkelstein photographed my favourite band, The Velvet Underground (I'm a pretentious so and so who clearly loves leather and heroin). His images have the aforementioned murky and psychedelic feel.
